EVA Global was founded on the commitment to create a more sustainable and equitable future through our products and services, that build trust towards eMobility. We strive to make a positive impact by making charging easier and hassle-free for all the parties involved.
Looking back on these past five years, we are proud to show that what once was a vision of social and environmental responsibility from our two founders is now a set of values shared by our organization and partners. In addition to our daily stakeholders, we are also honored to have onboard like-minded investors, including an impact fund, that share our goal of zero-emission mobility, that is born from a responsible and positive business culture.
From this perspective our goals can be divided into three main headlines: Environmental, Social and Economic.
Environmental Impact
Not only do we understand the importance of minimizing our environmental impact, but it was the main reason for founding EVA Global: taking a role in preserving the freedom of mobility by making it sustainable. In order for society to adapt to and trust eMobility, we need to eliminate range anxiety and charging anxiety together with our partners. The electric kilometers we enable are kilometers where an internal combustion engine is not needed. In 2023, our work resulted into more than one million driver interactions, leading to 400,000 recovered journeys and over 32 million kilometers of emission-free mobility.
Our environmental actions are not limited to the results of our products and services, but the choices we make in our daily life are as important to us. We choose green energy at our offices when we have the possibility to do so. We separate waste and recycle everything we can, and we encourage our employees to commute via public transport. And we of course offset any emissions we cannot avoid.
Social Impact
As part of our actions in offsetting our emissions we have aimed at making a larger impact. So far, we have contributed in a wind energy project in Turkey, a project providing cookstoves for coffee farmers in Ethiopia, participated in an Andean Amazon REDD+ (United Nations backed Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) project and supported rebuilding animal habitat, restoring soil and critical watersheds in the African continent.
Additionally, we could not be more proud of our employees, who in many of our offices have initiated different kinds of volunteer programs ranging from environmental protection and animal welfare to supporting families affected by the current crisis in Ukraine.
Economic Impact
As a global company we are contributing to the economies of the countries where we operate. We provide employment opportunities for people around the world, and are committed to fair and ethical employment and business practices. Also, as a result of reducing our environmental impact we support local businesses by sourcing materials and services from nearby suppliers whenever possible.
Our Impact in the Future
Looking to the future, EVA Global is devoted to continuing its efforts to make a positive impact on the world we share. We are exploring ways to further reduce our carbon footprint, increase our support for social causes, and encourage more employee volunteer programs. Not to forget our main role of developing sustainable and ethical products and services to our customers and their end-customers.
We believe it is both our and the whole ecosystem’s responsibility to work hand in hand towards a more sustainable and equitable future. We are excited to continue our journey and make a positive difference in the world.
